PLANTING POINTERS

On planting any new natives, remember NOT TO DISTURB ROOT SYSTEMS, except on Melaleucas and Callistemons which do benefit from a light tickle at the base of the plants.
You will find that Austplant plants are not pot bound and by minimising root disturbance you lesson the chance of loosing your plant.

Most of all when choosing plants match them to your environment and don’t hesitate to ask our advice.
When planting your new native plants place a sprinkle of Native Osmocote Fertilizer in the base of the hole and finally on the surface at the base of the plant.

Re-feed all plants with Osmocote fertilizer a year after they have been planted. This is particularly important if mulch has been used, as it will replace Nitrogen missing from the plants as the mulch is breaking down.
